It is ideal for mixing delicate or fragile products while also being suitable for very heavy or abrasive materials. Moreover, it ensures uniform blending without damaging sensitive ingredients, making it a versatile choice for food, pharmaceutical, and industrial applications.

This blender is designed to produce a homogeneous mixture and is preferred for materials that need careful tumbling rather than stirring.

For example, it works well with semolina flour, seeds, starch, coffee beans and ground coffee, cocoa, chocolate flakes or powder, powdered milk, baby food, dehydrated soups and cream preparations, pharmaceutical granules, detergent granules, soap flakes, artificial fertilizers, plastic powders or pellets, and metal powders.

GARDNER double cone blenders are gentle tumble-action gravity blenders, which makes them ideal for fragile and abrasive products alike.

The ‘end-over-end’ tumble action is further enhanced by internal multi-shear deflector plates, so that the blender achieves crossover blending as the cone rotates.

Additionally, externally mounted stud arms and bearings support the blender, which means there are no internal shaft seals. As a result, the design is extremely simple, hygienic, and easy to clean and maintain. Furthermore, the outlet valve provides ‘total discharge’ of the material, ensuring no carry-over from batch to batch.
