Hygienic Bag Dump Station (HBD)

Hygienic bag dump for manual emptying of small bags in food processing

Hygienic bag dump
for powders and ingredients

The Coperion hygienic bag dump station (HBD) is engineered for the manual emptying of small bags containing powders, ingredients, and other bulk solid materials. This hygienic bag dump solution helps food processors maintain a cleaner, safer working environment by minimizing dust emissions and supporting compliance with strict sanitary standards. Designed for smooth operator use, the system ensures consistent ingredient flow into downstream processes such as conveying, mixing, blending, or feeding.

The unit incorporates integrated bags and stainless-steel bag cages that help reduce airborne dust during bag opening and dumping. This improves plant hygiene, protects operators, and keeps surrounding equipment clean. Its hygienic construction makes it suitable for food, beverage, nutrition, and specialty powder applications where sanitation and process reliability are critical.

Applications:

  • Food processing
  • Ingredient handling
  • Nutritional powders
  • Baking and premix manufacturing
  • Pharmaceutical and nutraceutical blending

  • Filtered design – includes a flanged exhaust stub with an internal filter, providing localized dust control when external extraction is not available.

Both configurations are built with hygienic design principles, enabling easy cleaning, fast inspection, and reduced risk of contamination.
