Built for durability and precision, Shaffer® Dough Pumps use dual UHMW augers to deliver uniform feeding and gentle degassing, reducing stress on the dough. A belt drive system allows universal pump positioning, while variable frequency controls synchronize with downstream line speeds. Wash down compatible construction, NEMA 4X enclosures, and compliance with BISSC, UL, cUL, ANSI, USDA, and CE standards ensure reliable, hygienic operation in demanding industrial environments.
Reliable performance across batch sizes
Models range from hopper volumes of 453 L (16 cu ft) / 399 kg (880 lbs) up to 1,812 L (64 cu ft) / 1,597 kg (3520 lbs), with production rates reaching 6,804 kg/hr (15,000 lbs/hr). Throughput is based on 60 percent absorption dough and may vary with stiffer doughs or restrictive piping systems. Flexible pump and discharge port sizes are available to match specific production requirements.
Hygienic construction for industrial bakeries
All pumps feature heavy duty stainless steel frames on casters, sloped hoppers for efficient dough flow, and augers designed for food safety. Optional features such as dough level sensors, vertical discharge pipes, hopper oilers, and metal detectable augers enhance sanitation, product integrity, and process control.
Operator friendly controls and integration options
Shaffer® Dough Pumps can operate with standalone controls or be fully integrated with mixers and other dough handling equipment. Optional automation features including traversing systems, dough thermometers, load cells, or clean in place pigging systems provide flexibility and simplify production line management.
