Batter preparation

The foundation of every great round cake begins with a well-prepared batter. Coperion offers a versatile range of mixing technologies to suit different production scales and product types — from artisan-style batches to high-volume industrial lines.

For precise small to medium batch mixing, our VMI planetary mixers are available in capacities ranging from 10 to 200 liters. These mixers ensure gentle yet thorough blending, perfect for delicate cake batters that require volume and consistency.

For very high capacity production, our Shaffer high-shear horizontal mixers deliver powerful, uniform mixing in batch sizes from 680 to 1,270 kg. Engineered for speed and efficiency, they feature side unloading that make them ideal for continuous production environments

Prior to baking, our pan release sprayers support the coating of moulds for pan release applications.
